Our Rules

Our aim is to ensure that everyone who uses Howard Hall, whether for daytime activities, meetings or private celebrations, enjoys a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience. We are equally committed to ensuring that our neighbours are not inconvenienced by activities taking place at the Hall. So, Please:

  • Treat everyone with courtesy and respect;
  • Do not engage in any illegal activity on the premises;
  • Follow all safety instructions and never obstruct, misuse or tamper with fire exits, fire extinguishers or fire alarm equipment;
  • If you wish to decorate the Hall to make special memories of your event, please discuss your plans with the Hall Manager beforehand and ensure they comply with our Terms and Conditions of Hire;
  • Do not overrun your booked session. We allow a 30-minute interval between bookings to provide sufficient time for setting up and clearing away. If you need more time, you will need to include it within your booking time;
  • Leave the Hall clean and tidy, following the procedures set out in our Cleaning Standards; and
  • Be considerate of our neighbours by leaving the premises quietly at the end of your event.
