RVS Darby & Joan Club
On Monday afternoon the Howard Hall hosts the RVS Wigmore Darby and Joan Club, which was founded in March 1951, and currently has about 30 members.
Open to anyone aged 50 and over, the club meets from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm and offers an opportunity to make new friends, enjoy a game of bingo, have a hot drink and biscuits, sometimes a birthday cake. Just bring a pen and join in. A friendly welcome awaits you.

Short Mat Bowls
The Tuesday morning Short Mat Bowls session is particularly popular with retired members who enjoy the combination of gentle exercise, friendly competition and good company. The sessions provide an excellent opportunity to stay active, improve coordination and make new friends in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Open to members of Wigmara, an active retirement group for residents of Wigmore which meets at the Hall on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Ballroom Dancing
The Tuesday afternoon Ballroom Dancing sessions are especially popular with retired couples and individuals who enjoy dancing in a friendly and welcoming environment.
We offer two sessions to suit different levels of experience. A beginners’ class concentrates on sequence dancing, providing an enjoyable introduction for those new to ballroom dancing or wishing to build their confidence. The second session is available for more experienced dancers, offering the opportunity to enjoy a wider range of traditional ballroom dances in a relaxed and sociable setting.

Dance Fusion
Tuesday evening Dance Fusion is a fun and energetic dance fitness class suitable for adults of all ages and abilities. Enjoy a wide variety of dance routines set to music ranging from the tango and jive to modern favourites and songs from popular films such as Grease and Dirty Dancing. The sessions provide an enjoyable way to improve fitness, coordination and wellbeing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Simply wear comfortable clothing, bring a drink, and come along to join the fun. Improver Line Dancing

Hartbeeps: Baby & Toddler Sensory Classes
Hartbeeps offers award-winning sensory and musical classes specially designed for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups. Each session combines music, movement, imaginative play and sensory experiences to support your child’s early development in a fun, engaging and nurturing environment. With activities tailored to different age groups, Hartbeeps provides a wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore, learn and grow while parents and carers enjoy spending quality time together and meeting other local families. Wigmara
Wigmara is the Wigmore branch of the Medway Association of Retired People (MARA), providing a welcoming and friendly social group for retired and semi-retired members of the local community.
Members meet on the third Wednesday afternoon of each month at Howard Hall, where they enjoy an interesting programme of presentations and talks from a variety of guest speakers, together with the opportunity to socialise with friends old and new. In addition to the monthly meetings, Wigmara organises bingo sessions on the first and fourth Wednesday of the month in the afternoon. Plus a range of events throughout the year, including day trips, Sunday lunches and other social outings, offering members plenty of opportunities to keep active, make new friends and enjoy good company. They also run the Short Mat Bowls and Ballroom Dancing sessions.

Medway Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
The Howard Hall hosts the Medway Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group, providing support for people living with pulmonary fibrosis, together with their families and carers.
The group holds quarterly meetings on the second Wednesday of January, April, July and October. These sessions feature presentations from respiratory specialists and other healthcare professionals, offering the latest information on research, treatment and living well with pulmonary fibrosis, together with the opportunity to ask questions and meet others affected by the condition.
In addition, a patient-led support group meets on the third Friday of every month, providing a welcoming environment where members can share experiences, offer mutual support and exchange practical information. The sessions also provide signposting to local and national services that may be of help to patients, carers and their families.

Pilates
Thursday morning, 9 am Pilates class. Pilates is a gentle yet effective form of exercise designed to improve strength, flexibility, posture and balance. Wigmore and Bredhurst Gardeners
Wigmore and Bredhurst Garden Club brings together people who enjoy gardening, whether they are an experienced gardener or simply keen to learn. The club meets on the third Thursday afternoon of each month at Howard Hall, where members enjoy an interesting and varied programme of talks and presentations on seasonal gardening topics, together with practical tips and advice from knowledgeable speakers.
Meetings provide an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, share gardening experiences and meet others with a common interest whilst enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits. Dolls House
The Dolls’ House Club brings together people who enjoy the fascinating craft of creating miniature items for dolls’ houses.
One of only a small number of clubs of its kind in the country, the club meets for two hours on the last Thursday evening of each month at Howard Hall. Together they work on a wide variety of projects, creating detailed miniature furniture, accessories and decorative items, many of which are displayed at club meetings and exhibitions.
The club has a range of shared equipment, including a clay oven and specialist cutting boards, while members usually bring their own hand tools. Newcomers are welcome, and equipment is readily shared until they decide which tools they would like to purchase for themselves.
Whether you are an experienced miniaturist or completely new to the hobby, members are always happy to share their knowledge and help you develop new skills and techniques.

Friday Line Dancing
The Friday afternoon Line Dancing sessions cater for both experienced dancers and those who are just starting out, dancing to a mixture of country and contemporary music, offering an enjoyable way to keep active, make friends and have fun.
The 2.00 pm class is designed for dancers with some previous experience who wish to learn the latest dances while continuing to enjoy traditional favourites.
At 3.00 pm, the Beginner and Improver class provides a welcoming introduction for anyone wishing to learn the basics or build confidence with easier routines. Youth Dance Group
A Saturday morning Youth Dance Group offers young people the opportunity to develop their dance skills in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. Whether dancing for enjoyment or wishing to improve technique and performance, participants are encouraged to learn, make friends and, most importantly, have fun.
